Terms of use
Effective September 15, 2026. Last updated September 15, 2026.
By using encourages.me you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the service. Privacy details live on our Privacy page.
The service
encourages.me helps you remember and draft encouragement for people in your circle. We email you nudges. You edit and send from your own email or text client. Digital encouragement through the product is free; we may offer paid add-ons later (for example physical cards) without paywalling the act of encouraging itself.
Your account
You’re responsible for the email inbox you use to sign in and for activity under your account. Keep your magic-link emails private — anyone with a valid link can sign in as you until it expires.
Your circle and other people’s information
You may store information about other people (names, seasons, hard dates, notes, contact hints). You represent that you have a legitimate personal reason to keep those reminders, that you’ll keep them respectful and reasonably accurate, and that you won’t use the service to harass, stalk, or harm anyone. Contact hints are for your sending convenience only; we never message those people for you.
Content and scripture
Drafts may include scripture from public-domain translations we host, verified quotes from our library, and framing text (sometimes AI-assisted for light seasons). You are responsible for what you actually send. We do not invent scripture or fabricate attributed quotes. Heavy-season content is intended to come only from a human-reviewed pool — still, no automated system is perfect; use judgment before you send.
Acceptable use
Don’t use encourages.me to:
- Break the law or anyone’s rights
- Spam, phish, or send deceptive messages
- Probe, overload, or disrupt the service
- Scrape keepsake pages or other users’ data
Availability
We aim for reliability but don’t promise uninterrupted uptime. Features may change as we learn. Early versions are offered as-is while we validate whether nudged people actually send.
